JavaTester

{Test your browser's Java capabilities} JavaTester tests for four things: if your browser is Java-enabled, the version of Java that the browser is using, installing and upgrading Java, and configuring the Java options for the browser. I ran the first test in four different browsers and the results were identical in two browsers. Be sure you review "expected results" to better understand what the results mean. Test number two indicates I have version 1.4.0 of Java running. No need to upgrade. Verify if you have Java turned on and off by going to the Configuring Browser option, which explains how to do it for different browsers (but not all of them). If you don't have Java running or need to upgrade, the "Install Java" page provides information. If there isn't information on your browser of choice, go to that browser's Web site and search for Java to get the details. [Meryl]
